Congratulations to our Year 9 debating team, which participated in the Excellence Academy Programme at the Blackpool Sixth Form over the past few days. They concluded the debates in second place, narrowly losing the winning trophy this week but did so with gusto and panache.

It took our team effort and resilience to research their arguments and practice their speeches, and they are a little bit deflated after finishing second so if you see them today, please have a few encouraging words for them.
