This week has really seen a change in gear and acceleration of plans ready for a wider opening of our school, with Aspire staff digesting reams of information over the last few weeks regarding safety guidance and protocols. Staff will also be having an INSET day on Monday in preparation to welcome back Year 10 on Tuesday.

The Year 10 groups are now ‘closed’ for next week and parents/carers that have replied no to the survey will have to reapply for a place for the following week. The key worker and vulnerable student groups are also still operational.

Everyone has been working so hard, whether at home or in school, to keep our lines of communication and educational provision running, but a special mention should go to the staff that have been in the building this week getting the rooms and resources ready for next week. It has been a monumental effort but the final pieces of this complex jigsaw have now been put in place and we are green for go! See the above photograph of one of our classrooms that now has social distanced desks!

So, we are now ready to open more widely, which is an exciting proposition and one that all Aspire staff are relishing.

See you on Tuesday Year 10!
