In recognition of a commitment to providing a high-quality music education for all children and young people Blackpool Aspire Academy have been nominated by Blackpool Music Service to become a Music Mark school for the 2020/21 academic year.

The value that Miss Mackay and the Performing Arts team place on music and their commitment to a broad and balanced curriculum has been recognised by Music Mark, the UK Association for Music Education who champion and support access to music for all children and young people.

Miss Mackay, Head of Performing Arts said, “I'm so happy we have been awarded the Music Mark. We work incredibly hard in music lessons, peripatetic lessons and our Performing Arts Company, Pzazz, to produce exceptional work including full scale Christmas and Summer Shows. We also take part in the Blackpool Music Service Events such as the Christmas Concert and Schools Alive. In a year of uncertainty for the Performing Arts, we are happy to be recognised in this way.”

As a Music Mark school, Aspire Academy are now eligible for numerous benefits including:
