Up next for Meet the Staff is Mr Jenkinson, a teacher of maths who has a keen interest in gamekeeping.

Why did you become a teacher?

I wanted to have a positive effect on the early stage of peoples lives, to give them the best start. I try my best to steer them in the right direction so that they can be successful in life and reach their full potential.

Is there anything you wish you taught but can't?

Field craft and living off the land - it ties in with my passion for gamekeeping.

Marmite or Peanut Butter?

Peanut Butter.

What has been the best day of your life (so far)?

White Tail Buck hunting in British Columbia - it was an unforgettable experience.

Which teacher did you fear the most when you were at school and why?

Not fear, but respected Mr. Church, my maths teacher and also my Head of Year. He was fantastic and easily my favourite teacher.

What was your favourite toy as a child?

I didn't really have a favourite toy, but I loved taking my dogs out to different places.

If you could be a fruit which one would you be and why?

Tomato...its a fruit right?

What’s the best day of the week at Aspire?

Monday for me, as it's the first day back after a rest and I can hit the ground running!

Coronation Street or Eastenders?

Eastenders.

What is life like on the inside of a ping pong ball?

Confined? Isolated? Uninspiring? Cultureless? Never mind, get out there and see the rest of the world!
